Osemelu Aburime, MD

Dr. Osemelu Aburime, M.D., is a graduate of Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine. His transitional year was completed at Baptist Health System-Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University in Augusta, GA. In addition, Dr. Aburime completed his glaucoma fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Aburime is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Before joining Eye Specialty Group, Dr. Aburime was a Glaucoma Specialist with Georgia Eye Partners. Passionate about providing exceptional care to his patients, Dr. Aburime stays current with the latest advancements in glaucoma treatment and research, ensuring that he can provide the best possible care for his patients.

In his personal life, Dr. Aburime values spending quality time with his family and friends, exploring the great outdoors, and pursuing various hobbies such as photography. He is also an avid soccer player, enjoying the camaraderie and competitive spirit of the sport. Currently, Dr. Aburime is learning to cook, expanding his culinary skills and discovering new recipes to share with his loved ones.

Dr. Aburime sees patients at our Poplar Avenue, Collierville, and Southern College of Optometry (SCO) office locations.
