Dale Brown, M.D.

Dale Brown, M.D., graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in biology. He also completed a Masters program in Health Sciences at the University of Alabama. Dr. Brown received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. After completing an internship at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, he worked as a locum tenens physician in Urgent Care, ER, and Occupational Medicine clinics. Later, he completed his ophthalmology residency at The University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD before coming to the Eye Specialty Group. Throughout his career, Dr. Brown has been involved in numerous research projects, including a poster presentation for the treatment of retinal artery macroaneurysms at the ARVO annual meeting. During his residency, he volunteered his time to community eye screenings for the underserved population and helped fellow residents prepare for their annual ophthalmology boards. He is currently serving in a surgical retinal fellowship at the VRF Eye Specialty Group in Memphis, TN. Dr. Brown is a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
